6th International Conference on Modelling and Optimisation of Ship Energy Systems 5-7 October 2027 Nantes, Italy
Following the successful organisation of previous MOSES conferences, the 6th International Conference on Modelling and Optimisation of Ship Energy Systems (MOSES 2027) aims to address the evolving challenges facing the maritime industry and to foster interaction among scientists, engineers, industry professionals, policymakers and other stakeholders engaged in the design, operation and optimisation of ship energy systems.
The maritime sector is undergoing a profound transformation, driven by ambitious decarbonisation targets, shifting trade flows, evolving geopolitical conditions, and growing concerns over energy sovereignty and security. At the same time, energy price volatility, supply-chain disruptions, the emergence of alternative fuels, electrification and other advanced technologies, together with digitalisation, artificial intelligence, big data analytics and autonomous systems, are fundamentally reshaping ship energy systems. These systems must increasingly combine high efficiency and strong environmental performance with flexibility, adaptability, resilience and security.
Against this backdrop, MOSES 2027 brings together scientists, engineers and industry professionals to address these challenges collectively and transform them into opportunities for innovation. By fostering collaboration, sharing knowledge, and connecting ideas, methods and experience, the conference seeks to stimulate new approaches to the design and optimisation of ship energy systems and to contribute to a more sustainable, efficient, resilient and secure maritime future.
